I'm Stephen Dorr, a self-taught oil painter based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I create whimsical wildlife and nature artwork inspired by quiet moments outdoors…the kind that remind us to slow down and notice the simple joys of everyday life.

  • For originals returns are accepted if requested within 14 days of receiving your order. Simply ship it back in it’s original condition and I will issue a full refund.

    For print reproductions or any other printed merch that have been damaged or lost, simply make email me within 30 days and I will either send or a replacement or issue a full refund. Due to the fact that my prints are made to order, I can’t issue refunds for a change of mind. Please be sure to double check your order before placing.

  • Yes. I open a limited number of commission slots several times each year for collectors looking for a one-of-a-kind original painting. Most commissions feature whimsical wildlife, nature, or adventure-inspired themes in my signature style.

  • I create original oil paintings and museum-quality fine art prints featuring whimsical wildlife, nature, and occasional fantasy-inspired scenes. My work is inspired by family road trips to national and state parks and celebrates quiet moments, outdoor adventure, and the simple joys of everyday life.

    While oil painting is my favorite medium, I also work with ink and acrylic during the creative process before completing many paintings in oils.
